Michel is a transfer from Oklahoma, which has had various problems and sacked its coach, and is now coached by the former Ole Miss coach.
I read that 10 OU players were in the portal--Michel obviously being one of them. A native of Canada, she's a defender who started 19 of 20 games last year for OU as a sophomore. Always good to bolster the defense, especially if it means getting Katz off the back line and back into the middle of the field--one of our coaching mistakes of last year. We've got a big roster now.

Tks for this. I'd been periodically checking to see where Shell might land after her short and mysterious
Vol career. I have a sense of what the issue might have been, but since it would only be speculation it's not worth
noting.
