UGA has had 5 coaches in the past 63 years. I think UT has had that many in the past 12-15 years. Can't win like thatCrappy board of trustees, who hire crappy administration, who hired crappy AD’s, who hired retarded coaches.. When we go from football national champion to fearing SEC bottom dwellers, we need to go after the people who were at the top of the chain of command.
Yeah, the state of Georgia has incredible talent but if they hired the likes of Dooley and Pruitt, then Auburn, TN, Clemson, and Georgia Tech would have picked up those recruits and Georgia would have more turnover also.UGA has had 5 coaches in the past 63 years. Give me the Pirate over Pruitt any day of the week.Butch won 37% of his conference games (14-24) at Tennessee. Leach won 44%, and at a school with a fraction of the resources of Tennessee.
If the Pirate came here, I could have seen him winning around 50% of his conference games, but him losing a bunch of 48-43 type games and wacky comments would have worn thin after a few years. Some of Leach's defenses probably would have made Tim Banks look like a genius.
He coached at little brother schools and other coaches have done better then he had at each... he was absolutely a mediocre coach. What do you mean "only" conference games? I did that to single out the quality opponents he played. His overall records are better than that.
Did you think when you include the creampuffs he played, his records would be worse? Leach was definitely not a mediocre coach when you consider the programs he coached at. He only ever coached at "little brother" schools.
