Trying to get a better understanding of this system. How does it work? Just more numbers?

Heard Gary Parrish talk about this tonight. He was even kind of surprised at this ranking. Said that we would be the favorite against Memphis on a neutral court.

Golf can give a good rundown, but KenPom is one of the most respected in the business. If I'm not mistaken all his rankings are computer based, basically plugs in numbers and that's what pops out.

People who bet a lot swear by his info, so that's usually a pretty good barometer for how much weight to put into ones opinion lol.

Never heard of this poll but I'll take it. Really don't mean much right now though, unless it gives them more confidence goin into the LSU game!

Gotcha. I've always heard of it and seen it was accurate. Just wanted to see what went into it. I remember them getting the Xavier game right at the beginning of the year. they were a point off maybe.

Pastner's name was being thrown around for jobs, including USC. His recruiting class was great and he finally won a game in the Dance, so they gave him a raise.

Funny thing is the criticism today on radio. Sounds just like this place. Pastner tried to use a 4 guard lineup against Cincy, who has a long frontline. They let Cincy dictate the pace instead of pressing. They shot terribly and had 10 shots blocked. Pastner said they just needed to make more shots. Their guards have shot terribly this year. Nichols didn't play one minute in the second half, and the Tigers radio guy thought that Nick King was intimidated and didn't want to play.

Any criticism that guy gets is deserved.
Kind of like this place!

I'd gladly take those points (wouldn't need them) and watch Pastner beat Couzo again.
