too low. maybe somewhere around 50. going down that list I see more and more teams I wouldn't be worried about playing. some teams like UNC had even worse seasons than us and are ranked higher.

Didn't UNC lose half their team?
I don't think the Tarholes will win more than 4-5 games and will be looking for a new head coach in December. The Tarholes suspended 13 players for selling their school supplied shoes.

I liked going thru and clicking on which were too high and low. Kansas at 114/129 has 77% say it is too high. lol.

for what its worth 63% say we are too low.

To be honest, it's probably about right, if not a little high - we've had minor roster turn-over with three "starting" QBs in camp, the bulk of the OL returning and a lot of game experience coming back on D. Then there is the CBJ factor, he couldn't coach during the game and did NOT develop the roster, which lead to a 4-8 season.

The outlier is the coaching, CJP is entering his first campaign as a HC and Helton is in his first full year as THE OC and Sherrer as THE DC, his crutch is having CJP as a "back-up". If this staff can develop the kids as these coaches have done previously we will probably end up in the top 30-40. But this transition is NOT going to come overnight, it will take a couple of years . . . Rome wasn't built in a day, but it burned in a day - see Kiffin, Dooley, Jones and most of all Hamilton!

Unless you're Florida. 4-7 last year and their 25th. Yeah, that seems legit.

Part of it is perception of whether you have been a program that bounced back reasonably quickly after bad years. Tennessee will fight its way back, but the reality is that the program has been in a funk for 15 years, more or less. As soon as you compete for the SECe for a couple of years, maybe win it, you will be right back to getting that preseason cred, deserved or not. See e.g. Notre Dame, USC, Nebraska.

what's with all the floriduh love...4-8 last season also..new coaching staff also...
I like how everyone is underestimating this team and coaching staff...
after we beat the Gators and start 4-0 there will be no sneaking up on anyone..
EVERYONE will start taking us seriously...

Well that’s exactly why I don’t put much stock in preseason rankings. Anybody can rank any team at whatever number they want, not saying UF should be where they are at all.

We're behind teams like Toledo and Temple, so I'm calling total BS! I would put us in the 30-40 range right now, and could see it being higher by season's end if we get component coaching

I can understand their pessimism, we barely escaped Univ. Mass. last season. Until we prove otherwise, they have no reason to show respect for our beloved team. I say we just shut up and play them into being clueless liars.

Being an SEC conference team having a losing streak to Vandy not having won an SEC game since the fall of 2016 I'm surprised to be ths highly ranked. Until we perform differently during games and restore the natural order of UT football we should expect bullies like Vandy and the press to kick sand in our 98 pound weakling faces. We'll either do something about it or slink off.

What did you expect?

A Butch led team that went 0-8 in the SEC. We’ll have to earn our respect back.

I agree UF at 25th is pure garbage.

They don't have to have us in the top 25 or anything. we were crap last year but they have GT ranked at 55, considering we beat them and they had the same record why are they so much higher?
