Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs is '100 percent healthy', coach Butch Jones says

Benching dobbs would be a huge mistake. Take his leash off, work on the Oline, and open up the playbook. Any qb who can't run as good as dobbs would get crushed behind this Oline. I expect to see the top ten ut Saturday night.

Doing anything to Dobbs playing time without VERY good reason would separate this staff from the players at this point. One bad game as a player is not cause to cut the kid's knees out from under him in a public way would be the sentiment by his teammates at this point, I guarantee you. Want to shoot 120 in the head? Bench Dobbs this week as a starter for performance last week, that would surely do it IMO. He was not the only kid on that team that had a bad game.

True, but the lack of one doesn't excuse ridiculous, rampant speculation..

I remember seeing the thread title, but I honestly can't remember if I opened it.
Either way, I never gave it another thought. Crazy how upset people get over these things.

I thought this "rumor" started on Volnation and then grew legs and ran faster than one of those spider face-huggers you see on all the Alien movies...

Hope it's not like the rumors about Marquez North. It didn't seem like he ever got healthy again. In fact, according to the LA Rams roster - he's still injured.

I love Josh Dobbs, but seeing the impressive performance the freshman quarterbacks at FSU, Texas, Georgia, and Bama put up over the weekend makes me kinda wonder if Butch is not doing the Vol offense a disservice by keeping Dormady, and even Guarantano, under wraps.

While I agree somewhat with the sentiment, those teams had the playbook open cause they were playing quality opponents. Also, teams have years of college film on Dobbs to prepare, and 0 college film on these freshmen.

What is wrong with you people. The only reason they run vanilla is either A) They can't do any better or B)They are idiots. Do you realize how pathetic the 'vanilla' offense excuse is? None of those other teams run a vanilla offense because they don't have to. You spend spring practice, summer, and fall camp perfecting your offense so you can execute when the season starts. Y'all kill me with this 'vanilla' offense bullshicky. What a joke. We are so weak as a team it's pathetic. With all of that talent.

I'm a CBJ supporter but even I admit he's taking it a little far: He has a family blah blah. The rumor wasn't that he was in a coma. If a family member reads a post about broken ribs and wants to know the truth, just pick up the nearest cellular telephone and call him??

Tennessee QB Joshua Dobbs is '100 percent healthy', coach Butch Jones says | AL.com

"He's 100 percent healthy," Jones said. "We do a daily injury report and his name has not been on it one time. ... It's really unfortunate in the world of college football and social media, that some erroneous reporting would be done that he's injured, has (broken) ribs — I've heard it all. What we forget is that these are young adults. Here's a young man who's 20 years old, has a family, and all these reports are circulating, 100 percent erroneous and false."

It was hell on here over the weekend and I am relived that this rumor is officially put to rest.

Go Vols

Don't blame him if he comes in here and kicks some azz...

Noble attempt, but you obviously didn't watch the game and don't really know how this all works.
