Tennessee Owns The Superbowl.

I am as tired of the SJW nonsense as anyone. But your "if you don't stand proudly for the flag" sheeple nonsense is just as irritating, so give it a freakin rest.

It's really not disrespecting the flag that has me upset (although I do believe it is a terrible thing to do), but rather the NFL's obvious bias against other viewpoints than their own liberal ideologies.

I'll never forget how the media absolutely railed on a veteran named Alejandro Villanueva from the Steelers for standing during the national anthem while the rest of his team was kneeling.

He was even forced to apologize!

So, basically libtard snowflake athletes that live in a fantasy world can **** on America and no one in the media cares, while respecting the flag and anthem gets you widely condemned by the left wing MSM media.

These kinds of double standards infuriate me and make me never want to watch an NFL game again.

Nice strawman, but Villanueva was lauded for standing in the tunnel, there was noone that said bad things about a veteran standing for the anthem. Unless you are watching the young turks, most media members understood going after him was career suicide.

I think his teammates did.

Has nothing to do with education.
Correct. It is all about money. But if the NFL were to die tomorrow, college football would be just fine. The elite athletes might have to change their goals a bit so that education IS the focus instead of the NFL. If they don't, oh well. There will be plenty of kids that will and the elite, stupid ones can go back to pumping gas or selling cars. And to pretend that you care either way is disingenuous.

**** pro sports in general.

so proud of this NFL fact about the Vols! They aren't called the Big Orange just to be cute. And remember the 1st ever draft pic for the Bengals - Center Bob Johnson of the Vols

It's I think guys 30 years ago wanted it more. For several.. money being one. Never said guys don't want to win now but just not as much. And yes Vince is no choir boy. But don't act like NFL players weren't roiding as well.

No amount of guaranteed money in a long term contract can buy a Super Bowl ring. I'm pretty sure Tom Brady wants to win on Sunday just as much as Terry Bradshaw did back in the 70s and 80s.

I'd argue fans resent players more now than in previous decades because of the money they make.

Textbook strawman in your last sentence...never said NFL players didn't use steroids, let alone hold them up as some shining example of patriotism and wholesome American entertainment like you did with Vince McMahon.

I get what you mean. And I do agree that players still want to win. I just don't see it like I did back then. And didn't mean to prop Vince McMahon up. Just that I think it's time the NFL and players realized that without the average fan this league will not make the $ it currently does. And when I say NFL I mean execs like the commissioner himself hand out a 2 game suspension to Ray Rice when he knew all along there was video evidence that he knocked his wife out.

Some people just don't like professional sports.

I love the NBA...bought the League Pass for the past four years.

The NFL is primarily background noise on Sunday while I'm doing all the weekend chores I didn't do on Saturday because I was watching CFB from noon to the late 10:30 kickoff out west.

I like all sports. For nba i generally only watch Grizzlies games. But the nba is getting hard to watch due to foul rules. They stop play almost every time a player is touched.

As crazy as this sounds I think the Vols complete collapse this year probably taught me a lesson I should have learned a long time ago... Don't be consumed with the winning and losing. As tough as it was too watch them this past season I found it ok to just not think about it at all. Did alot of camping this fall and loved it. It also taught me how I am teetering on just not caring about the NFL. I am not done with the NFL but as you said it's basically background noise on Sundays most weeks now.

I basically have up on the NBA after the Ron Arrest fiasco. I do enjoy watching from time to time. Love to watch some storylines to the NBA like Golden State coming from the laughing stock of the league to be a dynasty but not a regular watcher.

Assuming you're talking about the Malice in the Palace 14 years ago, I don't get the knee jerk reaction to an isolated...yet ugly....incident 14 years ago as an excuse to not watch the NBA today.

Going back two decades prior to that it seemed like there was a 50-50 chance a fight broke out anytime a combination of the Lakers, Celtics, Pistons, Knicks or Pacers played each other...and that was considered the NBA's golden age when teams struggled to score 90 points.

Point taken. Much different in my eyes when those teams fought when it was between players not players sucker punching a fan who granted was let's say at the least somewhat inebriated. But that's what did it for me. Still watch from afar just not a follower.
