I thought you could transfer anywhere you wanted and would sit one year unless you have an ncaa hardship. If you are not released for that school you cant go on scholarship for one year. You pay youre own way the first year.

This is correct

The whole not being able to transfer without sitting out is BS. If a scholarship is only guaranteed for 1 year, and a coach can cut a player, then any player should be able to switch schools whenever they so choose.

Or, they could keep the current rules and guarantee athletic scholarships for 4 years.

There is no consistency and the amateur 20 year old athlete is the one that gets screwed, not the professional coach making millions of dollars to properly evaluate talent.

Lets imagine that we had Manning as our q.b. but we were an average team. Then another team, such as Florida or Alabama is a championship caliber team but they have one missing element. That being a q.b. Well, the coach of Alabama or Florida convinces Manning to play his senior season at that school, so he can possibly end his college career with a National Championship.

I know that I would be very mad. What about you???

How would you like it if Coach Jones left U.T. for Cal. Berkley. In doing so, he convinced A.J. Johnson, Maggitt, Couch, McCullers, Riley, and Tiny to transfer to Cal. Berkley.

This will depleat our roster and our new coach will look twice about taking the job with a depleated roster.
