Tennessee one of 6 schools that could make massive jumps by February signing day.

Finish in the top 15-20 and I’ll be happy with this class. I didn’t have much in means of expectations for this class with the coaching search debacle. Anything better than that would be great given the circumstances

I'm kinda shocked we've done as good as we have after everything that happened.

It's also just good to see a positive national article about Tennessee football again, about how things are heading in the right direction.

Considering where this team is after what it’s seen in the last year in remarkable. Any other successful events between now and destroying WV is gravy.

:hi::clapping:After Mays showed his lack of "class" in his song. Glad he is gone elsewhere. We will be even better without him with some "real" Vols.

I suspect that Pruitt and staff will do more with a 10-20 ranked class then Butch could do with top 10 classes.

that's ka boom dork :)

I did like this part of the article

"Hey, remember them? Tennessee’s been a pretty strict case of no news being good news since Jeremy Pruitt got hired"

I think CJP and company are doing a great job on short notice :good!:

I'd rather have a top 20 class of people we actually need and fit the staff's schemes than a mishmash of highly ranked ones just based on star value alone like we've had.

It's easy to be optimistic in December...or February...but I have a feeling we've seen our last 4 win season so long as Jeremy Pruitt is in Knoxville.

Go Vols.

If Pruitt & staff can close on some top target corners and linebackers. Recruit Gaulden & Kelly to stay...Tennessee could complete next year with everyone on schedule outside of Bama, Georgia, and possibly Auburn next year.

Auburn is going to be good too, just such a inconsistent team to be completely concerned with.

Had he came here and sang the song but inserted Georgia for Tennessee you’d applaud his tenacious spirit.

The future is now! I loathe the thought of another 4 win season.

I don’t think we’re gonna have to listen to any of the BS Jones was spewing from JP. Crap like, “I’m not building a team here, I’m building a program”. That’s a distinction without a difference and no matter how many times I’ve asked posters on VN to explain the difference, how a coach would do anything differently, no one has given anything close to a legit answer.

Fact is, you’re right Poppa, get on with it starting right now. Go get the players who can fit and execute your system at the highest possible level and start winning as soon as humanly possible. The days of the Bull-ish statements like “it takes 6-7 years to build a program” are gone. Plenty of us saw it for what it was then...it’s crap, nothing but excuses in order to buy more time, trick as many people as possible, collect more paychecks.

The model/standard has been set by JP’s very soon to be former boss.....took a season to get things implemented, went 7-6....year 2 had things in place and roster built up, went 12-2.....year 3 went 14-0 and won the national title. Not saying we should expect a national title in 3 years, just that that is the standard JP will be aiming for. No more crap about how many players have never been on a plane or who have ever played a game in Gainesville. We got a football coach in charge now, not an insecure trumpet player trying to extend the con as long as possible before the gets found out.

I do hope that Gaulden & Kelly stay, but I expect them to go to the NFL

According to 24/7 sports we are up to #22 nationally. If things keep trending upwards and all I’ll be shocked if we don’t finish top 10!! This has been a huge turnaround recruiting wise and going from a once 50th place ranking to a possible top 10?? Would likely be the biggest jump in college football. I’m ready for next year already!!!! Let’s GO!!!!!!!
