according to Chris Low. Wouldn't be my first pick but would be absolutely savage for CJH to take UCLA's qb and out perform Nico at UCLA for a fraction of the money..

Report: Tennessee to meet with top transfer quarterback after Nico Iamaleava departure
Picking an elite quarterback is not easy. Didn't Peyton emerge from a 3 way competition? I say we got 2 highly rated prospect now and we need to add a 3rd. Let them fight it out and see who emerges in the next 5 months!

The big difference between Hooker and nico was that Hooker made decisions twice as fast. If this kid can react quick and get rid of the ball our offense will be rolling again.

Also, we have seriously slowed our snap pace since we got Milton and nico, if we get the pace back up we can get a lot more blown coverages and have more opportunites to exploit the opposing defenses.

Quick decisions are a key for Coach Heupel's offense.Hooker made them.Nicp was a little slower. If this guy fromApp. St./UCLA can make them quickly.he could be a help for our Vols and the two "M's"qb's we have here now and the number 1 qb coming in 26.

They don’t mean anything?
I mean, obviously I’m being a bit facetious to prove my point, but they really don’t mean all that much in the grand scheme of things and it’s why I don’t rage over getting a 3 star recruit like half this board does. Some of our best players have been “only 3 stars”.

The stars don’t always get it right. Guarantano was a 4 star, while Baker Mayfield was a walk on. You tell me which one deserved that 4 star ranking more.

Idk. Hard to tell much from the kid playing Clemson. Is he better than Gas pipe and by how much? Gotta feeling either Merk or GMac will still be the starter in the fall. Pretty humbling we couldn’t reel in one of the better QBs in the portal. If we make a deal with this guy, I hope he’s surprisingly good behind a decent O line and better receivers. It would be nice if we found our own Diego Pavia.

...on a team that, as was pointed out, had an incredible amount of disruption in their season and was clearly less talented than their opponent. Comparing that team's performance to a playoff team then randomly deciding the quarterback sucks is just the level of pure stupidity I expect out of many on this board, unfortunately.

If he comes here, we won't know how he is until he gets in the system. And again, I'm going to trust the guys that have repeatedly pulled magic out of nowhere much of the last three years to make the right call in what's become a chaotic sport.

Coaches have routinely taken heat for not having highly rated signing classes.

Now suddenly, rating means nothing. 🤷‍♂️

I don't want to hear crap about how "we're #9 in the SEC in recruiting." It doesn't matter, apparently.
The stars matter until they don't. Usually that's right around the time they get fitted for their equipment. Once u hit the field nobody cares about your stars. Kinda like being a first round pick in the NFL. It's cool on draft day, but once they hand out equipment you're fighting for your livelihood.
