I think they know that. We have 2 weeks to work on it. A friend pointed out that our defense probably wasn't ready for the type of offense Florida ran today as well.

I also don't think we have the talent on defense yet to stop people consistently.

Agree, and we haven't faced this level of talent yet, so, it might be a great teaching moment. Still a great win, proud of the team.

We've had the same issues since Ball St. It just got wrote off as playing vanilla. Not harping on it (well i am, but not tonight). I'm just saying it's not a new thing.

And also to be fair we gave up a lot of yards, the defense coordinator is paid a lot of money and it seems we went a step back on defense. Looked like last years defense but worse. Florida ran and threw the ball basically at will all night. Couldn't get off on 3rd down amd 4th down he kept going for it bc he knew his odds of getting the 1st was good. At the end of the day it still falls on his shoulders as the defense coordinator for the Vols. Let the team celebrate the win and then starting Monday hell week needs to start the following week we prepare and have a mind set of winning at LSU which is very hard for us to do.

They need two years. Two recruiting classes. This years incoming group of DBs will be outstanding if all commits stick.

They kept going for it because they knew if we got the ball they had no chance.

We sold out to stop the run, and did for the most part. But AR of course turned in his best passing game to date.
