Tennessee Lady Vol News

View attachment 839928From a PR and graphic design perspective, I'm curious why the decision to make the names so small on a poster introducing a completely new roster.

And is that Fatmata wearing her game face? (Maybe she has a chip on her shoulder...)

I can honestly say I've never looked at a Lady Vols graphic and thought to myself. "I don't recognize who a single one of these players are." I'm going to need to do some film study.

Fatmata is my new favorite, no smiling, just business.

I noticed several youngest siblings in that video... just like our coach, right? That sought after, "chip-on-her-shoulder" profile seems to be coming into focus.

Regarding that attitude, and speaking in obviously broad stereotypes... I wonder what kinds of growing up experiences each of our African and European ladies of color have had? Has their growing up been a tougher than average challenge? Or maybe the "proving myself" challenge they experience is in coming from Europe to compete in the US.

More than usual, I'm looking forward to getting to know more about each of these new Lady Vols.

Irene look really happy in the video. The others Coulibaly and Fat have been here a while playing at A&M and Auburn.

I'm not a social media guru. Should I know who @ordinarybritt is? Does she currently have frequent acres to the team?
You'll have to see some of her recent tweets. Believe this may be in reference too a live she watched feat. one of the twins, who made negative statements about Kim, the system, being lied too, and she is worth or receiving a million NIL from Rutgers. Guess the dad has been dissing the program alot as well.

I'm more curious as to whether her comments about this years team have any actual observations behind them. If it is just hopium, that's not enough to pay attention.

Tennessee–Adidas Deal Value

The University of Tennessee’s new 10‑year partnership with adidas — which began in 2026 — is worth about $1.2 million in base compensation for the 2025–26 season, with $4.5 million in annual product allotment MSN.
This figure covers the school’s direct payments and the supply of adidas gear, but the deal also includes a multi‑million‑dollar NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) component that could be worth at least $10 million for athletes Yahoo Sports. Under the agreement, Tennessee can share up to $20.5 million directly with athletes through revenue‑sharing, with no cap on third‑party NIL deals, meaning adidas can help athletes secure “over‑the‑cap” opportunities Yahoo Sports.
While some earlier reports speculated about a much larger $200 million apparel deal College Football Network, that figure has not been confirmed and appears to be a proposal rather than the finalized contract. The confirmed terms from Tennessee and adidas focus on the $1.2M base payment + $4.5M annual product allotment for the school, plus the NIL revenue‑sharing potential.
In summary:
  • Confirmed base + product value: ~$1.2M (2025–26) + $4.5M/year for 10 years
  • Potential NIL revenue: At least $10M for athletes, with up to $20.5M in direct school‑to‑athlete sharing
  • Total potential value to athletes: Could exceed $10M, depending on NIL deal activity
This makes the deal a significant boost for Tennessee’s athletics program, both financially and in NIL opportunities.

Explains why this deal was just to good to pass up. The NIL money is outstanding.
