I believe that stepping away from her straight-jacket system would have meant at least two more wins, maybe one or two more beyond that.

I'm not expecting to win another game maybe we will, but right now I wonder how that will happen.

More than 50% likely IMO. I don't really understand how we are in the NCAAT but if we lose first round of the SECT, I'd be cool rolling into the NCAAT with Gabe, just to see if he could rally the troops with a little bit more conventional system.

I’m more optimistic. I think there is 1-2 more victories in front of them. 3 is not impossible either. It’s one and done from here on out. Let’s see what shows up in the one and done games.

On the Sports Source last weekend, the basketball coaches (Mark Pancratz and Buzz Peterson) talked about how being the head coach in that situation at Tennessee was a spotlight unlike many in the sport. Peterson likened it to being on an island by yourself. I can't imagine what kind of loose threads she's clutching at in her mind, sitting in that interview. She knows she has to figure this out in the offseason but she can't get started yet - and I imagine she wants to make moves. But she's got to sit there and take some more hits first.

(Interestingly, Peterson also was very emphatic about "staying the course." And that no matter how tempting it might be to start changing things up, being true to what you knew and believed in was important to success. Of course, Peterson also said he had very serious reservations about the platoon system, so, there's that too.)

I enjoyed this read, thank you, it was well written and expressed nicely some of the thoughts I have had recently. I genuinely would like to see CKC succeed. Hope I’m wrong, I certainly could be. She needs to grow real fast in the next 12 mos. however, so I will watch and look for those steps.

As a fan, the hockey like player shuffle, and the endless full court pressure was fun to watch for awhile....As the endless uncontested layups by our opponents mounted, and taking out a hot shooter, for no reason, other than to keep some unknown schedule, has worn most of the fanbase out.

Kim's a lovely woman that needs to heed the story of how trees grow tall in strong winds.....

I can not blame the poor play of the team on the Freshmen. In fact, I believe the Freshmen outplayed the upperclassmen as the season progressed except for may Coop and Barker. Our inside scoring was almost nonexistent and their defense was not good either. They seldom blocked shots around the basket and found many time given up and one plays. By mid season, the Freshmen and the two upperclassmen I mention were the leaders on both offense and defense. The returning players plus the two highly regarded incoming Freshmen from a solid base for nest season. Additions from the portal should give us a should give us a stronger and more competitive team next year.

Never know cause we never tried anything different. I think a zone defense could've changed a lot of defensive possessions by the other team. I can't know that cause we never tried to play one. I do know that other teams changing their defenses really dominated us in a few games. We were going fairly good against the SC man to man then Dawn goes to the zone and we lose by 43.
One thing about the SEC is that you can't be predictable to many of these coaches have been at it to long not to be able to adjust to what they know your going to do.
I don't know if anything would've worked with this team. I do know we never tried to do anything different to find out.

Stats will back that up you take all the freshmen and you will find they come out about 25 ppg as a group. You take out Cooper and Barker you can't get 25 out of everybody else.
