Tennessee Lady Vol News

They are currently a projected 5 seed. They would likely be a 4 seed imo if they can win 4-5 of their remaining games. 11 SEC wins would certainly do the trick, perhaps 10. See posts above.
Check that live link above. Creme currently has the Leddies on the four seed line. Will need to win one as a underdog to maintain that, imo.

We're to Jeckel and Hide to get a real gauge on this team. We have a good freshman foundation but you just don't know how the rest are going to show up. Really need couple of consistent shooters to steady the ship.
How about we focus on the current season? We’ll have plenty of time to speculate about talent acquisition as the tournaments wind down. Just a suggestion.

The fact that we need a few three point threats to step up from the roster as currently constructed is an undeniable truth.

I think from here on in it will all come down to how the three seniors and one junior play. The freshmen are a great support group, but what those four do on offense every game left will be this seasons determining factor.

Well I'm opion for this season I think the full court press chaos method has to be intermittent. Slow it down at times and work for good shots. If we can't shoot about 45% we can't score enough consistently to keep up with higher average teams. I don't like making long posts and it would take a lot to explain what I'm seeing. But we need a pressing team and a slow offensive team. She's been getting close to some of that hopefully everything works out.

Shooting fewer threes would increase the overall shooting %, but that’s just me.

I will say something controversial since were looking for solutions and not finding any. I think we may need to get rid of the seniors on this team they may not be team players and may be causing more problems than the ones that are being solved. I saw very little hustle from them on a lot of plays throughout the season. I have seen a lot more intensity out of the freshmen and we don't seem to be able to win unless they doing at least half the scoring. We needed these seniors to be leaders and I don't think any of them are. So I will be glad to move on from them and it is the coaches job to replace them with the right type players that buy in much better than I am seeing out of this upperclassmen group. If these seniors can't play better and help us a lot more were going to end this season badly.
If the upper classroom don't want to get the job done let them watch from the bench. If we loose let's do it with freshmen. Give them the time and get experience.

With 8 games left if Ole Miss isn't rescheduled my worse prediction is
Final 17-10 win loss record. 18-10 if ole
Miss game included. Hopefully I'm wrong.
I only see wins at Georgia ,,mizzou,,and
Texas A&M.

Does a 17-10 or 18-10 get us in the tournament? If that is our record (I know we are likely to win a game in the SEC tournament as well) our only signature wins would be Kentucky(without Teoni Key) and Alabama (Without Essence Carson). Just wondering how the Committee would view us?

16 would get us in. May be an 8 or 9 seed but we would be in. Our NET is 19 so don't see a way were falling below 35 unless we lose every game left. Our SOS is four and will be one when the season is over. We already have 4 Quad one wins which is already more than some teams will have if they get in.

Your good question made me think of a northern New England joke that @Rooster1 might appreciate. Humor well north of Boston is, perhaps, a little different from what people consider amusing elsewhere. I heard this story spoken with a strong New Hampshuh accent many decades back…
Henry goes into the haadweauh staw (hardware store) and sees his old friend Jed sitting in the back corner, whittling. He approaches his friend,
“Hullo Jed.”
Jed whittles for a while, then looks up and replies.

“Hullo Henry.”
Henry politely waits a while, watching his friend whittle, then asks,

“How ahh yuh (are you) Jed?”
Jed whittles for half a minute or so, wrinkles his brow, stops all motion and answers,

“Not too bad. Yourself?.”
Henry nods. He then replies,

“All right I 'spose. And how's your wife?”
Jed is silent and motionless for a minute or two as he ponders the question. He looks up at Henry and speaks in a monotone,
“Compayud (compared) to WHUT?”

I don’t think this team is that good, but I don’t think most of the teams are as good as people think they are, outside of Texas, I think they match up pretty well, they will win some of those games.
