Some advanced stats notes:

Wanna giv some props to Mya (#12) here: she currently leads the team in oRB%! 4th in total RB%. [among qualified LVs; Kaiya is #1 in oRB% in her 27 min] Effort really showing up there.

With the Coppin State game, Kaniya has moved into 1st in offensiv rating (replacing Jaida) and Nya has moved into 3rd (replacing Talaysia, herself seeing a massiv improvement in offensiv rating with a team high assist% and better shot selection)

Jersey's offensiv rating jumps up a little bit, but it's still deep in the red. On the other hand, her defensiv rating is one of the team's best. If the offense clicks at some point, she'll be a solid +.

Janiah and Cooper both hav very strong defensiv ratings, unsurprisingly. Cooper's is fantastic. (in 80 possessions, around 16 points better than the team median)

The two of them + Nya combine for 2.9 WinShares. Jaida has 0.6 WinShares on 100 minutes, for the third highest WS/40 on the team.

Cooper and Prawl both have a very low FT Rate (so, drawing fouls) at the moment. Cooper's was also pretty low last year. Cooper and Barker have both about the same number of 2s, but Barker has attempted almost triple the number of FTs. Zee and Barker both hav very good FT Rates, around 30%.

We’re in a good place. We’ve got seven “prove it” game against teams ranked above us and one just below. We’ve lost one well above and blew one below.

Did anyone notice the WCBB note on the ESPN scroll? Apparently, the Lady Vols are 0-11 in their last 11 games against teams ranked #1-3. Imagine that, right? I wonder how many teams that statement qualifies? 🤣

What was UConn ranked when we beat them last year? I thought they were #2 at the time.

ESPN just goes for angry clicks from Vol fans. Still only two programs that get any news traction in WCBB, UT and UCONN.

Not even South Carolina moves the needles with all their success the last decade.
