Lazaria Spearman played some really good defense out on the perimeter in this 3x3 tourney.
We know Zee can score. The length on this team next season is about to give opponents fits.
Coach Caldwell has built a SEC/National championship contender in 1 year.
That’s unheard of.

It appears to ME, that this roster is MUCH better physically to execute on both ends of the floor AND, we start with experienced leadership to guide the squad. Lots of relative film to share and improve their learning curve.

Does that translate on the floor? Do our additions shooting, especially the long ball, exceed what we lost in an environment where taking every good shot is ENCOURAGED and reduces the percentage of late in clock prayers in their numbers? Does our faster more athletic length, especially with our sub pattern rest, make the press and transition efficiency better? I for one am anxious to find these answers and am HOPEFUL. Answers could be evident, one way or the other, without a statistical study.

That’s not unheard of. Kim Mulkey won a title in her second year at LSU in 2023.

Carolyn Peck lead Purdue to a title in her second year as head coach in 1999 after being with the program as an assistant under Nell Fortner for a year.
