Tennessee Lady Vol News

Scheduling plays into where you might finish in the SEC this season. Tennessee gets LSU twice, Kentucky gets Georgia twice, SC and Texas play twice, Missouri gets Oklahoma twice, Texas A&m plays Arkansas twice, Auburm gets Miss St, Alabama gets Florida. Ole Miss gets Vanderbilt.

So some teams not as talented as the team they play twice lose a game in the standings. That would look affect Tennessee and Texas more vs LSU and Sc more than the other 12 teams. Kentucky should beat Georgia twice no problem same for Oklahoma over Missouri. Same Alabama should be able to win two over florida and Miss St two over Auburn.

Any loss at home in the SEC is a bad loss. Even if it moves you up one spot. That can also change significantly based on what teams do with the rest of their season.
The final total is what really matters and yes losing at home makes that final total hard to come by. We need to get 11 SEC wins JMO to get the first two home games in the NCAA. Were already in really bad shape to do that. Cause how does it look? Texas and LSU on the road and SC at home. Means if you lose those three you have to beat everybody else on the schedule. That is hard to accomplish. I think what losing these two game may have done is take us out of hosting unless we win some games were not expected to win plus all the others.

It's possible for something to hurt your NET rating yet still have your NET ranking go up depending on how the teams around you did.

If we had won, would we still be behind 3 loss UNC? Would Ole Miss have passed us? Would Oklahoma, who lost to Mississippi State and are now at 3 losses, still be ahead of us? etc. I figure that we probably wouldn't.

It helps that it was a close loss to a very good team.

But but…….you said that’s not how the NET works when you declared UT would drop after the LSU game.
