It would help if we spent a ton and got a top name coach but it doesn't have to be that. It could be an up and comer that pans out.

We’ve had the talent...they were either hurt, under-utilized or poorly coached.

Snap back into reality...we arent “one win” from beating Vandy.....we were blown out at home by practically everyone who played us...and half of the teams that beat us were horrible.

I personally see no talent on the field. Butch chased stars to save his recruiting status. Other than Smith and kelly the talent is flat out missing. He recruited over rated players and then screwed up from there by not coaching them. Linebackers suck, both lines suck, db’s suck, safetys suck, qb’s suck, receivers are horrible. Where was this talent that everyone speaks of? Even dooley recruited better receivers. They werent coached properly but their natural talent showed up on the field. If they were that talented, they would have shown up on the field....they never did.

We have issues that not everyone is aware of. One being academics vs athletics. But under Fulmer we were widely regarded as a top 10 perennial program. Now 10 years later and two mediocre unproven coaches later we are the worst team in the SEC. And our mastermind plan is to hire another unproven mediocre mid-major coach. Definition of insanity????
