Tennessee Friday Practice #13

Always good to see the guys out there, even if it is just running around and drills. The one interesting part of this one I thought were the two OL vs. DL battles we saw. Freshman James Robinson more than held his own against Matthew Butler. Kurott Garland went up against Jerome Carvin (center snap).

Bennett came to campus and Butch wanted to have him gain weight to be a DL. Bamas plan was to have him lose weight and be a pss rusher. It took a couple years to reverse the direction that Butch had Bennett heading, but it looks like Bennett is finally ready for the role that Pruitt has always envisioned him at. Ready for a big game.

In all fairness, he was a DT in high school and was recruited to play on the line. Team needs and priorities probably also factored in the decision. But you're right about his amazing transformation. He doesn't look like the same kid. And it'll be an incredible story and a tribute to Pruitt if he can have success in his new role.
