Man......that WR room looks sick!!!!! It'd be cool if the line could protect Milton for about 6 seconds and let him air it out 80 yds to Squirrel or Thorton occasionally.

Preferably Thornton. I love squirrel, but for some reason he seems to enjoy leaving his feet when the ball hits him stride inside the 10 yard line. No need to dive when the ball hits you in the chest. Not sure what that's about.

I think that has a lot to do with trying to haul in a meteor falling from the sky. The velocity that Milton can put on a 60 yard pass could easily make a guy miss judge the ball even a really fast guy.

Hubbs was talking about LG last week again and kept going back and forth between Lane and Nichols. unless Karic has made significant progress since spring, it sounded like he was not ready.

Also wasnt Kwauze Garland a LB last year? Maybe I missed that move.

or maybe this depth chart is all mixed up in spots.

A lot lower level of competition and a different sport sometimes, but it always helped me catch when I’d let my body sorta collapse.

Lane will likely be the LG to start the season IMO. Others will push to replace him throughout the year. Norman-Lott is a DT and will probably start next to Thomas. We are easily 3 deep on DL and will use all of them. While unlikely I wish we could start Slaughter st strong safety instead of McCollough. More of a natural position for him but we may not have enough reliable corners to do so. I think Jeudy-Lally will start at CB, but too many other questions with both Burrell and Hadden (despite their experience) and while Matthews and Gibson have promise really prefer not starting true frosh at CB. Both hopefully break into 2 deep.

Slaughter has found his home at corner. He found it 2/3 way through last season and by all accounts has embraced his new role.
I personally feel like he was kind of dicey on the outside. Think he would be our best option covering slot WRs and helping in run support. TMac is good in run support and disrupting screens but his coverage has been questionable. This all depends on how the other CBs progress such as Burrell, Hadden, etc.

All I want for Christmas is a win over Bama in T Town and Georgia in Neyland. Add Florida and I could take a fluke loss or two. Those wins would be as good as a National Championship and the crazy shenanigans of the pollsters, SEC, and NCAA. This lineup information gives us all hope which we hope is not just hype. Georgia is the model we want to strive to be IMHO. Go get em Vols!
