Wasn't hard... He came from USJ (University School of Jackson) and loved the Vols growing up... Butch would of had to do something terribly wrong to mess that recruitment up...

Can you say Von Bell? Believe me it can be screwed up.

Was a Bama fan growing up. Really liked Urban too. Butch hired the sister...before THEY could. Credit.

Lyle pulled out all of the stops to get him. The normal stuff you would expect. Brought the caravan to USJ to host a lineman camp. Hired his sister to work for the university. I think the staff knew he was a "can not miss" guy. I will give him credit for landing him BUT everyone in the country wanted him for a reason. Nick Saban himself came to Jackson several times to see him. Urban himself came several time to see him. Nick Satan was here the day before he announced. I remember having a bet with my wife about what school he was going to choose. I lost and had to eat my crow.

With the above being said. Trey is awesome young man. He is no punk, and he is really smart. Even if he was not built like a the gravedigger monster truck he would be really successful in life because of his personality and and smarts. He defiantly is a kid you want to pull for and he deserves all the credit he gets.

Glad he is a vol!

Generational player. Before last season, some national talking heads and wannabe experts on here stated his top end was as a second round pick and more likely 3-4. Health permitted, he’s better than Quenton Nelson as an OG IMO...and that’s a generational type in his own right! I don’t think there’s a spot on the line he couldn’t excel at, and that’s Bruce Matthews/Larry Allen territory.
