Tennessee fans in metro Nashville?

Years ago when there were UT events in the Nashville area, they were very well attended. Think there are still plenty of fans just waiting for football to be competitive again.

Having lived here half a century, I cannot say I recall any local bars branding themselves as a Vols fan headquarters. Really, the only time I remember seeing sports bars packed with orange would be when we had a PPV game and you could go watch it somewhere like Sam’s in Hillsboro Village for a nominal cover charge instead of paying full price to watch at home. I probably first noticed local sports bars catering to specific fan bases in the mid-90s when places in Williamson County like Cross Corner in Brentwood and Bleachers in Franklin started courting Big10 fanbases that were transplanted with Saturn.

I was concerned that the Titans moving to Nashville would have an impact on the support for the Vols. But I have been told by many on Volnation that they don’t think it’s had any impact.

I did tax consulting for Saturn in the late 80s. I worked with manufacturing employees to make sure I was getting manufacturing process questions answered correctly.
I never met a single employee from TN. They had all moved from Michigan to TN. It was part of the deal between GM and the UAW.
When the Predators came to town, and played the Detroit Red wings there would be more wings fans than Pred fans. I haven't seen the Preds live in about 5 years. I think it was about 50/50 then.

Probably more fair weather fans in Nashville. It depends on which team is doing better, Or maybe not as bad the last 10 years.
