Not sure what metric you’re using on talent, but I’m guessing it would have also shown we were way more talented than Missouri last year in that night game at home.
A lot of our players had quit after the UK win and mailed it in, that and major injuries on O-line. That Missouri game is no barometer for THIS upcoming season or BYU game. And Missouri also had A lot more talent than BYU and an NFL caliber QB. We are beating BYU big.

The only history between UT and BYU is Dewey Warren. VFL QB who was offensive coach at BYU during their glory days.

Yep. Dewey had a far greater impact on the evolution of offensive football in the college ranks than most people are aware of. “Warren was instrumental in revolutionizing college football under LaVell Edwards at Brigham Young. Edwards, who had spent his career as a defensive coach, became head coach in 1972; he knew that BYU lacked the blue-chip athletes necessary to win consistently with a conventional run-oriented game, so [he] handed the offense to Warren, who had been hired to install a passing attack.

Warren's offense turned every running play into a passing play and overwhelmed defenses with four and five receivers, coming from every possible position in the offense. Although Warren left BYU after only two seasons, his offense, led by quarterback Gary Sheide, was already setting records. BYU continues to use his offense, with further refinements, today.” Dewey Warren - Wikipedia

The swamp rat was a good on. He was also had the best sports show in the Knoxville market. He just had his own way of doing things which some people did not like. I wish he still had a show in Knoxville.

Wait. What? Some people in Knoxville didn’t like some things a Sports Radio host said or did. Shocking.
