The Volunteers have outscored their Big Ten bowl opponents by a combined 56 points over the past two seasons.
Tennessee helps push the SEC to a nation-leading 8-2 bowl record.

The SEC won a record eight bowl games this season and left little doubt that it's still a line of scrimmage league no matter how much the game changes. In its eight wins, the SEC averaged 229 rushing yards and allowed an average of 95.1 rushing yards. Five of the eight teams -- Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee -- rushed for more than 200 yards.

I bet the Citrus bowl wished theyd have picked UT. I know the Outback would have appreciated it as well.

The Outback got exactly who they wanted. They couldn't care less if the game is exciting, they want people to travel and spend money. UT fans give that to them

No matter how much the pundits want to prop up other conferences, the SEC is still the baddest cat on the block. Year after year...dominance.

With that said, I still want to see Clempson spank Bama's Arse!!!!

Nope. If we can't win the natty I'd rather have the team we lost to by 5 points win it.

It makes us look good. And it'll motivate our players more since they'll see how close they are to being national champs.

I heard a great quote today - "cheering for Bama because they're in the SEC is like cheering for Satan because he's in the Bible."

The Big "When" is too easy to even bash these days, the jokes are too easy.

I am sure during the presentation of the trophy Tennessee will be at the top of everyone's mind. I can't think of anything that would help Tennessee more than seeing that Bama helmet with a number 16 on it. Go Clemson!!!

My sentiments exactly. Some people seem to drink the SEC kool-aid and forget what rivalry means.

I care more about liking Tennessee than hating Alabama.

Alabama winning makes us look better than them losing. Same reason I rooted for Oklahoma to beat Clemson eventhough I hate their guts for what they did to us.

Hopefully Clemson blows Bama off the field. Go Tigers!

In today's world of perception and the playoffs, I root for everyone we play (win or lose) to win the rest of their games.

It makes us look better either way. And all I care about is what's good for Tennessee. Not what's bad for Alabama.

Nothing Bama does on Jan 11 except losing is positive for Tennessee. Bama loses and just maybe some doubt comes in about Saban being past his prime or he retires in disgust.

Bama winning doesn't help us at all. If they win no one but TN fans are going to talk about how close we played them.

The only problem with Clemson winning is we recruit head to head with them for regional talent.

It's a lose/lose scenario for us. So in that case Buck Fama!

Yes, simply having his 6th shot at a NC, but not winning it, will kill Bama's mojo.

We pumped the brakes against Iowa and played backups early on defense. We could have hung 60 on them imo
