If there is going to be any coaching changes at Tennessee this off season, the people that make the calls better not wait around. There is going to be some big time college head coaching positions available, Washington,Syracuse,Clemson maybe Auburn? If we want one of the top candidates we better have our name in the hat immediatley.

I wish Fulmer would announce at his press conference that this is his last year. Then we can start to move on, It's my hope.

I'm already dreading the Bama game. If we could only muster 1yd against GA what the heck are we going to do against Bama?

Nothing is going to happen, Hamilton will tell everyone this season was also a abnomally of some sorts of bad breaks and we'll be back to normal UT football. Pretty much the same speach he gave the year Sanders left.

He won't resign and neither would I or you in his circumstance. (Hat or Lawgater can explain better than I) According to contract law if he quits, then UT would not be responsible for the remainder of contract, but if fired they would have to pay. Six million is a lot of money.

Likely what will happen will be a negotiated firing between the University and Jimmy Sexton where it looks like he rides off in the sunset retiring but in fact he got pushed out but leaving with a sack of $$$$.The sooner the better.

He won't EVER resign!!...If he does he will forfit 6 million dollars...Let Me repeat, SIX MILLION DOLLARS! :eek:hmy: the only way you get rid of him is to fire him and right now he is holding the UTK athletic department hostage..:banghead2: They need to act fast and get rid of him and his cohorts as quickly as possible.

I think maybe I'll arrange a camping trip for that weekend, the horror that awaits us on TV or radio is just going to be too much for me to handle...Miss St is going to be enough of a downer for me to endure but a massacre against Alabama is just too much.

So much for the storied ole offensive lineman who so loved his university so much he sold out a 2nd place heisman trophy winner boss who gave him his shot at o coordinator, only to watch his era go down like titanic after a dance with an iceberg after he caused it to go rotten, and sodded with his own apathy and bloated ego.

There are many good coaches out there making around 900k a year just waiting to be snached up by a big time program, the longer he waits the less choices we will have.

After that choke against Texas yesterday, Stoops is still a possibility---OU fans are furious with that loss.

I really don't understand why people on this board want Stoops. Yes he has done great things with the OU program, but he losses big games on a regular basis, year in and year out. I'm not sure Stoops is the genius everyone thinks he is.

Thats not at all likely at least not yet. If I had to guess I would say there will be a rematch of that game later in the year with the big12 championship game. The fans are probably upset but its sill just 1 loss. Unless Oklahoma completely falls apart his job is safe.

After reading the criticisms of pretty much every possible new coach, it seems we want someone who be able to recruit well, someone who has head coaching experience, someone who has been incredibly successful at that position, and someone who has been great in big games. I guess we are going to have to offer Carrol and Belichick.
