Tennessee best team in SEC East?

Ah, at this point in the season you can make anybody sound like a national contender. I do like his points though.

Besides, that "article" read like a 7th grader wrote it. So many run on sentences and comma splices-- I feel

I feel like he jumped the gun a little maybe the 2012 team but we will win 7 or 8 games losing to UGA Bama Arkansas and maybe LSU i like Tennessee in that game since it's at home and we owe them one.

For whatever reason CFN almost always gives a positive outlook for the Vols. I don't know if their editor is alumni or what, but they seem to like us.

Arkansas will be good next year. I think we have chance as good as almost anyone in the East

Just looking at rosters, I'd take South Carolina, Georgia and Florida over us.

I do at least enjoy the positive feedback, it was hard to read or listen to almost anything last year during preseason.

It's really great to get some positive press after the past couple of years. I keep hearing a lot of people saying USC Jr is going to be good this season. I went to the Chic Filet bowl last year and was far from impressed with the way they played. After their running back went out with an injury they looked terrible. The game with usc is a game I think the Vols can and will win. I also think a win against Florida is long over due and very possible.

Just looking at rosters, I'd take South Carolina, Georgia and Florida over us.

Alshon Jeffery and Marcus Lattimore scare the crap out of me. Georgia and Florida not so much. Lots of talent, but they both have issues. Mainly O-line and receivers for both. We saw what GA was like with and without AJ Green. Thing that bothers me about GA is they have a good QB/TE and that has given us fits in the past. This may be the year to get Florida. They are in transition and lost a ton on defense. Floyd, Elam, and Powell will flourish under Muschamp, but the offense has yet to put it together. Not saying they can't, they just haven't. FWIW Tony Barnhart said on Talkin Football the other night that UT will be much better on offense, but too small and slow on defense. Said UT will have to outscore opponents to win. Again, TIFWIW.

USCe is a Lattimore injury away from being a mediocre team.

Lattimore stays healthy all season, they win the east. He misses 3 games, the Gamecocks are screwed.

UF still has the most talent in the east, but replacing a coaching staff usually takes a season to get going.

UGA usually craps all over themselves when they are in this position. Richt's teams rarely handle high expectations well.

Tennessee is still an absurdly young team. A bunch of sophomores and a few freshmen are going to make up the majority of the two deep. Tennessee will shoot themselves in the foot and struggle with consistency.

I honestly believe it will be between us and UT for the East this year. I hope it's us, but UT may win it. Although, UT is playing the three toughest teams from the west, and two of them on the road.

In all seriousness guys why not. Sure we are still very young and we have a bunch of tough games this year, but show me a team in the East that is Head and Shoulders better than us right now?

I think this will be Richts Swan Song in Athens this year. He has become the new Fulmer of the SEC. Getting Less out of more and I've seen nothing lately to make me think that Georgia will be nothing more than a Seven, Eight win team again this year.

Florida does have as much talent as, Bama, and LSU but they are completly changing their offense and you can't tell me they won't have a lot of growing pains this year. Weiss is good but to think that he can make his scheme gel the first year is giving him much more crdit than he deserves.

South Carolina has plenty of experience returning but did anyone else watch the Arkansas and SEC Championship games last year. They were thumped. Hell those games were never really close. Sure they had some great wins, but Steve has mediocre at best since he's been in Columbia. Plus Garcia he one fart in a elevator away from being kicked off the team.

If we were in the West this year then no I wouldn't give us much chance at all to get to Atlanta but there isnt any reason at all not to believe that an 9-3 or even and 8-4 team will win the East this year. We will need a little luck, but if Bray doesn't regress, and the Oline continues to improve we could be in Atlanta this Dec just as easy as Florida, Georgia, or South Carolina can.

We have to go to the swamp and that will be tough but, I dont think their Offense will be clicking that early so why cant we win in Gainsville.

We get Georgia and South Carolina at home and barring a lot injuries there is no reason to believe that we can't win those games.

The East will be Dog eat Dog again this year and I dont see any reason why we cant be the last Dog standing come Dec. Not saying we will but I wont be shocked if we do.

Dooley showed me last year that he can do good things with very little, so I believe he can make this team take the next step this year, then 2012 might be the year were the sky is the limit for our Vols.

Pretty good article.Agree with this..."They will fight for the East because only two teams have no chance to win the division"

Besides ky and vandy the east is up for grabs.
