Tennessee announced on Tuesday that football attendance will be limited to 25 percent capacity to start the season, however, the school noted “capacity restrictions could change as the season progresses, based on statewide virus data and evolving recommendations of public health officials.”

Given Neyland Stadium’s massive seating capacity, that decision means just over 20,000 fans will be allowed to attend Tennessee’s home opener against Missouri on Saturday, Oct. 3.

also

According to Tennessee, students and active Tennessee Fund donors with season tickets will be given priority when it comes to the tickets handed out this fall.

Guarantee you that % changes by the end of the season.

So who is going? Its alllllllllmost Football time in TENNESSEE! :D (but still feels a long way away) :(

I chose option 3 (Defend the Checkerboards) which rolls over my Tennessee Fund donation and season tickets to next year. However, I would not hesitate to attend a game or several games if capacity is increased and we have the opportunity to buy tickets.

My son (UT grad student and former 4-year PoTS member) is dating the new Drum Major of the PoTS. No, I'm not even kidding. He's punching above his weight class, but it's looking like he's got a chance! Anyway, in a normal year, you bet I'd be there for the opener and as many through the year as I could afford so we could cheer her on in person. I'm not even sure I'll be able to afford any games this year. Anyone heard discussion as to what ticket prices might be from whoever is actually willing to give them up?

Thanks,
AV

Well I guess this could be used as a recruiting tool. Look son, if a pandemic hits, we can make your game day experience just a little bit better than others🤓

Tennessee Fund members giving at the Bronze Victor level and above are capped at eight tickets per game or their previous quantity of tickets held (whichever is fewer). Members giving at the Mountaineer Level and above are capped at four tickets per game or their previous quantity of tickets held (whichever is fewer). These ticket caps enable a minimum of 5,400 tickets per game for distribution to additional donors, increasing attendance opportunities for more households of Tennessee fans.
Good! I was wondering about this. Cut down on ticket hoarding

I found this photo on Knox news from the Missouri game after many fans had left. I figure it will look a little like this, maybe spread out a little more:

I noticed the explanation that even though there are 2 less home games now the cost of the full season ticket will not be reduced because all the games are SEC contests.

Also says there may be single game tickets offered for sale if the visiting team returns some of their allotment.

And you will be able to resale & buy tickets through third party sites.

I will have the best seat in the house, front row on the tube. I hope they bring in the loudest fans, b/c watching Baseball with no fans has been awkward and to an extent, not as exciting.

No fans definitely kills all momentum and makes the game lack energy. You won’t get the experience if you’re attending for the first time.

With cases plummeting and the CDC saying this :

"If you have been in close contact (within 6 feet) of a person with a COVID-19 infection for at least 15 minutes but do not have symptoms:
You do not necessarily need a test unless you are a vulnerable individual or your health care provider or State or local public health officials recommend you take one.
A negative test does not mean you will not develop an infection from the close contact or contract an infection at a later time."

We ought to be seeing that capacity go up.

If you're asymptomatic. No big deal anymore.
