Tennessee and Oklahoma announce football series

2015 Notre Dame and 2014 VT aren't bad games by any stretch. But I do see your point. More than anything, I don't understand why UT and OU want another home-and-home so soon after completing one. It's not like Clemson and Auburn, who have a history.

Va Tech was/is an conference ACC game. Notre Dame.....meh.

But bottom line for me, there's no reason for Tennessee to be scheduling Oklahoma or any other similar national power for an OOC game. Schedule 3 patsies and 1 middling Power 5 team imo. At least until we show we can at least win a crap SEC East division.

Not for tOSU.

They went to a NY6 bowl.

There is definitely some logic to your position.

I was discussing Clemson's schedule when referencing VA Tech. The Hokies were a decent OOC game for OSU, certainly not on the scale of OU.

On paper, Notre Dame looks like a pretty good OOC as well, but they're not on the level of OU. As a matter of fact, Notre Dame might even make my list for who UT should schedule instead of OU, although I'd prefer a weaker program.

It's about the $$$$$$!!!!

Used to be UCLA a couple of times a decade. That was for recruiting.

Maybe for recruiting reasons?
