Tennessee and Michigan

To be fair, Tennessee plays 3 Ohio State (Alabama, Florida, and Georgia) level teams a season while Michigan plays 1 and Nebraska sometimes plays 1. Give Tennessee their schedule and we likely have similar results.

Florida has hardly been Ohio St. level the past 10 years and Georgia only recently got up there.

Over the last decade the SEC East has been down compared to 2000s. We’ve had our atrocious record during that period. Now as UGA is doing better with Smart (overall, this year is flukey) and Florida is back on track with Mullen, we’re getting absolutely curb stomped because we’ve managed to actually get worse.

Let's get back to culture. Since Fulmer was fired in 2008 the 2 best seasons for the Vols are 2015-16. Beat uga 2x, beat Florida once and came within 1 derrick henry run of beating bama. What did those seasons have in common? Josh Dobbs. Was he the greatest passer? No. The greatest QB? No but he was a great leader and that made all the difference. UT doesn't have that right now, and you can't create it. Until you fix the culture and develop leaders who give their all for Tennessee, firing coaches is just re-arranging deck chairs on the titanic.
