As we search for our quarterback for the 2026 season, everyone wonders whether we’ll hit the portal or stay in-house. Nobody knows who will lead the Volunteers offense next season. You’ve got Leavitt visiting Tennessee and extending his stay while Kiffin flies to Knoxville to go after him and all the drama surrounding that situation. Rumors around G Mac wiping his Instagram of anything to do with Tennessee football which simply isn’t true. Missouri’s QB scheduled to visit Tennessee. There was talk about Ty Simpson, talk about just letting Faizon take over this team as a true freshman. Has everyone forgot the fact that the ruling on Joey Aguilar is going to be soon? Pavia got another year, why shouldn’t Joey? If I told everyone that Aguilar would be our QB next year along with all of the defensive staff changes we’ve already made and the players we’ve gotten from the portal on the defensive side of the ball and will continue to get, you couldn’t tell me that you wouldn’t be ecstatic. Someone who came at the eleventh hour last season, who now has a year on Rocky Top under his belt and familiarity with Knoxville and Heupel’s system like no other, Joey would be my first selection, who would then pass the torch to Faizon Brandon in 2027. Say it with me, Joey, Joey, Joey!

I knew the attorneys were having a conference call with the judge but the article I read did not mention a final ruling.

I heard the judge will review the facts beginning Monday. Who knows, he could still take days to rule.

I say instead of throwing 4 mil towards a portal QB we slip the judge 100K, pay Joey 2 mil, and buy a couple more stud OL's. Maybe one more receiver and one more RB.

It’s looking as if Tennessee is going to go in-house with their next man under center. My guess is a QB battle between MacIntyre and Faizon Brandon, and in that case, may the best man win
