maybe he figured if he wrote it 6mos after rivals published their article no one would notice it was a complete ripoff? :dunno:

I'd say it is a toss-up between that class and the '08 class, which was alos epically bad. Our Top 3 signees from that class were EJ Abrams-Ward, Aaron Douglas, and Casey Kelly. Ouch.

The good news is, the past several recruiting classes (pre-Dooley) have included many blue chip busts, so we're kinda used to it.

Yes, but the entire planet knew that class was crap, hence a currently jobless Fulmer. The Kiffin class was top notch on paper.

Very true. Kiffin's class is definitely the winner for 'Most Disappointing Class', but as far as which one was actually worse, it's basically a push.

I think 2007-2009 classes sucked in general with a few bright spots.

The class also brought violence, drug abuse, laziness, whispers of high school transcript improprieties, a seemingly endless supply of secondary NCAA violations and a non-stop source of embarrassment and unwanted attention to the school.

I don't recall ever hearing about "transcript improprieties." Anyone know what this is referring to?

recruiting classes like 2007-2009 and people wonder why 2010 and 2011 were as bad as they ended up being. Hopefully Dooley gets us going in the right direction this year.

Gordon, Walls, Teague, Hood, Rogers have all contributed. King might contribute some this year, also. Pair those with the partial contributions of the rest of that class that are no longer here, and I still contend that it is a wash.

And ppl wonder why Dooley hasn't won big games here.. Hmm.. That's a tough question.. Must be all in the coaching...

no, the 08 guys actually STARTED games. you'd be better served claiming janzen jackson as the biggest success from 09. these guys outside Hood have rarely started or played significant minutes. id bet the 08 class has 4 times as many career starts as the 09 at this point.

Every player I listed has started MULTIPLE games.

1941 was horrible. Ranked 93rd on Rivals and 102nd by MaxPreps. Took nearly a decade to recover from that group.
:)
