That will be taken care of in a couple of weeks when ND puts a hurtin on us.I just hope our defense can keep it a low scorin game.

Also you've got to remember that the #17 team not only held the #5 team (at home) to 6 points and sacked them 5 times. As well, we actually played well enough against #5 on their home turf that they couldn't even have scored those 6 points without 3 gift fumbles. In fact, take away just ONE of those fumbles, and TN wins.

What I've been wondering all morning is how the press (and we) would have handled things if we'd only fumbled twice and gotten the win... I'm sure Fulmer would have played up the huge win and that some of the dolts would've sworn we still sucked and got lucky, but all the rest of us would've plotzed trying to figure out some other reaction than "they're all right"........

dont think we hold them to under 20. brady quinn is the real deal.

After watching some of the ND-BYU game yesterday... I don't think we really have much of a chance. But BYU doesn't have the potential that Tennessee does either. Our D is super.

What would have happened if we beat Alabama yesterday? If the score was reversed, 6-3 - TN? That loss killed me inside. Especially that Anderson fumble. 7 of 12 SEC teams are in the top 25, though. If it can't be Tennessee, then why not someone that beat us? I'd still rather see our rivals lose.

This year we are victims of the schedule and bad breaks. All 3 of our losses were to a top 5 team. 2 of those games were away games. We have played 4 top 5 teams so far and only won 1.

As for the breaks, well, we just don't get any this season. I don't expect it to change. I don't think this team is going to put together a flawless game since we are averaging 2.5 turnovers a game.

So it is what it is. We are the #25 team in country. Do rankings even matter anymore?

They do when you consider thay we COULD be #273.

Rankings only mean something if you win. I have thought we have played well enough on D all year to be 6-0 on the other hand our O would be 0- 6 so the average is 3-3. Let us hope we end up 9-3 and not 6-6.

...Whatever makes you feel better. But you also got beat by a number 5 team that you beat 3 years in a row in their home stadium, and who also was without their star receiver.

Also, some of the fumbles that occured didn't just happend, they were forced including the one out of the endzone. It was a great game that could have went either way, and it happend to tip Bama's way...for a change.

The Vol fans traditionally travel well in large volumes...and bring their checkbooks withe em. One big reason the Vols are great for bowls and keeping em in the top 25.
