I personally don't see it. Sure, we were 4-8 (0-8) last year. But we were 9-4 (4-4) the year before.

You don't win coach of the year honors for repeating something your team did as recently as the season before last.

For CJP to be in the COY conversation, he'll have to dial up something like a 10-win season. Many folks here have said, or agreed, that anything between 3-9 and 9-3 is reasonably possible this year. COY winners do things beyond what's reasonable.

That's how I see it, anyway. I wouldn't look for Jeremy being in the COY conversation if we go 8-4. Butch did 8-4. Twice.

Depends on what the field does and who we beat, IMO. It’s theoretically possible.

There may be more bowls than can be filled with 6 win teams. Vols might get an invite after a 5 win season.

My bold prediction- We win 9 games with a new staff and everyone will see just how $hitty of a coach BJ actually was.
