Eugene, where I live is expecting all days for the next week to be over 90 degrees with the high this Sunday at 113!! This is scary! Other areas are expecting much higher temps. It will be amazing if people don't get burnt out of their homes this summer. Our normal average June temp is 74 degrees and July/August average is 83.

Do you all have air conditioning out there or just window units? On the bright side, at least your humidity aint bad. I saw your air temp is 95 and heat index is 93. It was 95 air temp a few days ago here and heat index of 118.

Heat pumps, air conditioning etc are pretty normal in anything built in the last 40 years. Yea, eastern humidity is a killer when heat hits. Our big problem isn't heat AND humidity, it's HEAT with NO HUMIDITY.... Things burn very fast when it's dry and hot. Just takes a lightening strike or two.

It was definitely different in Idaho. My oldest is stationed there in the Air Force, and we went two years ago.
