In my life time, I think in this day and time ,that put us back on the map. Heath came, Payton came and those Cal boys came in. Started our respect back!Receivers poured in.WE were in the top 10 all the time What's happen.

That is a loaded questioned. It has been asked several hundred times on this board and answered... But looking at it from a different perspective, both the good and the bad, it boils down to one thing ... COACHING ... both good and bad.

No doubt about it the Sugar Vols hitting the Canes in the mouth was huge. Very few people gave us a chance in that game, Miami was "woofing" big time, and the boys smacked them right in their mouths, out swaggered the Canes without having to swagger...and the message went forth the VOLS if not back are on the right path. God I loved that team. Had this videotaped on a BETA system and played it over and over again with my 5 year old son watching. Then we would go in the yard and run Vols TD passes against the Canes all day. I think his obsession with UT started at that time.
Nostalgic...I stand convicted. I really hope the 07 Vols smack wisconsin and show some Tennessee swagger 1/1.
GO VOLS!
