Not only the Tennessee Volunteers football team, but also the Pride of the Southland Band will be making their way into the Horseshoe for the first time. Rarely does UT play a school with a band on the same planet as the Pride, and now we get to see them matched with another top 5 band program. Both are widely acknowledged as two of the best—perhaps the two very best—in the country. The only better matchup than the teams themselves might be the bands.

ESPN, get your head out of your rear and TELEVISE HALFTIME!

The director of the POTS band, Dr. Stewart, is also an alum of OSU. He may put a little extra in the show because of that.

IMO, since he took the reins a couple of years ago the POTS band has been reinvigorated.

I think they stopped televising bands at halftime because people would rather see other things like highlights from other games and analysis, but I realize lots of folks do want to see it
