have now been drug into the Al Davis-Lane Kiffin feud. Nice. This press conference is a classic.

Dear Lord . . . I just found it on ESPN2. Al Davis is coming off like a 3rd grade tattletale in an 80 year old body.

I wonder if Al Davis passes gas if the dust from the comet that destroyed the dinosaurs would come out. Don't know how he survived it, but he is definitely a trooper.

Al spilled the beans that Arkansas was going to hire Kiffin instead of Petrino. That got blown up because Al forced Kiffin to finish the season and Petrino bailed early on Atlanta. He used Tee as an example of someone who spoke highly of Jamarcus Russell. That was done to draw a contrast to Kiffin, who he protrayed as thinking Russell was essentially fat, lazy, and dumb.

This is absolutely sad to watch.
You're not kidding. Al Davis was always a hero of mine because he stuck it to The Man with regularity. Now, he's behaving like the imperious suits he always detested.

So, we have established that Kiffin is smarter than Tee Martin.

I like Kiffin already. :)

That was really bazaar, sounds like Kiffin had no control and wanted out. I think he did a pretty decent job, with what he had to work with.:good!:

He did call Tee a "terrific young man" and mentioned that he was the QB when we won it all.

Tee seems like a great guy, but that just seems like a strange guy to reference.

Apparently, when Tee was having his cup of coffee with the Raiders, he told Al about a young Jamarcus Russell.

. . . and what Owner writes his coach a letter rather than just making an appointment?

One looking to build a paper trail in order to fire a coach and not pay his contract.
