u dont know how bad i want to say peyton is the better college qb, but i wont. i'll give it to timmy teblow, a heisman trophy and 2 national championships...hard to beat that, even with peyton. in the pros tho, hands down t-bag will never be anywhere near peytons level. end of discussion.

Tebow is obviously the best college-system QB of all time.
The way I'll put it is that Tebow's skills were set up perfectly for Florida. It was the perfect marriage of talent and scheme.

Tebow the without question more successful QB in college. Popular opinion is that Manning will have the better pro career, and that's probably correct.

More succesfull College QB is Tebow, already 1 Heisman Trophy & 2 National Championships with a chance to add to that. He fit in with Florida perfect!! But with that said he will never be the QB Peyton is in the pros.

Scott Frost also had two National Championships as a College QB, and 1 was undefeated and beat Peyton Manning as a senior.

I assume we're talking recent vintage. If I'm trying to win one college game, I'd take Michael Vick or Vince Young over either of them. That extra dimension means everything in college, and clearly you don't have to be a genius reading defenses to be successful at that level.

I only want Tebow if I get Urban Meyer and his offense with him.

IMO Manning wasn't even the best QB in Tennessee history. I'd take Tony Robinson over him as a college QB anytime.

If you go by stats, Graham Harrell gets an honorable mention. As hard as that was top type, its true imo.

Manning's pro career will be without question better than Tebow's. And by a much wider margin than Tebow's over Manning's in college.

With that being said, I wouldn't mind it if the Titans took Tebow next year. :)

loved watching PM but there are 2 UF QB's I would say are better than him. Although PM will be a better pro qb than both combined

Alot comes down to matching offense and talent, as was touched on above. Switch them in the respective systems and you would still have 2 very good QB's although not as highly rated as they were/are in the system they were recruited. That goes without saying with all recruits. Hence the meltdown of JC after being recruited in a prostyle set-up and not ever playing in one. Other positions apply as well.

I'll go out on a limb and say that Davey O'Brien was the best ever. Between Tebow and Manning, I think it's pretty obvious if you measure success in terms of winning conference and national championships, and Heismans.

Most successful college QB= No contest Tebow

Best college QB (passing, completions, etc.)=No contest Manning!

Lets face it Teebow is a great competitor and he will be known as one of colleges greatest but he has a better supporting cast than peyton did. Florida is a more complete team. Now our supporting casts when Peyton played wasn't a slouch, but Peyton is often criticized for never beating florida , but excet that one game in which he had 4 interceptions, all of which were not his fault he played def good enoug to win. Fact is it was ourdefense that gave up all the points and the and the third and fourth down and longs. Fact is when you score 35 points in any game that should be enough to win the game. Another fact is that Peyton was screwed out of the hiesman, We ALL know that so you can add that point to Peytons resume. How many comebacks does Peyton have versus Teebow have.? Again Tebow is great but get out the stat book and it is not as obvios as everyone thinks. ASK YOUR SELF THIS QUESTION, THERE IS 90 SECONDS LEFT ON THE CLOCK YOUR DOWN BY 6 AND HAVE THE BALL ON YOUR OWN 10 YARD LINE WITH NO TIMEOUTS . WHO YOU GONNA TAKE PEYTON OR TEEBOW. MY MONEY IS ON MANNING EVERYTIME.
