Tebow Released

Anybody who saw those and I use this term loosely “attempts” to block knew this was coming.

I only heard one analyst try to spin it and he said “he understood the blocking issues but we never saw what he could do with the ball in his hands”. If you can’t block what you gonna do with the ball? Fumble?

Tebow should just take his analyst jobs and be happy. He had his run as an athlete and needs to move on. Get inducted into ring of honor in Gainesville ( @Lawrence Wright help me out here) if he’s not already and finally into the CFHOF.

One of the best to ever do it I just have a hard time believing he stayed true all those years at Fl.

Tebow was inducted into UF’s Ring of Honor several years ago, 2018 when we played LSU if memory serves. He hasn’t been inducted into the CFHoF yet, but that’s a certainty at some point.

Not sure what it is you have a hard time believing in your last sentence.

Listen, im not a Tebow fan. I think he acted like an ass when he played at Fla but he deserved a chance. I think the NFL blackballed him for his religious displays which I think was wrong. Unlike Kaepernick, he wanted to play. A lot of people are happy and that sad for them.

I wish him success in his ministry but I wish SECN would take him off. He’s terrible.
That is ridiculous. His services at QB were not in demand, because of his poor mechanics, which included a slow release and bad footwork. He never looked comfortable under center... only in shotgun formation.

You mean you believe he was a virgin the entire time a UF?

I think he could have been a great weapon as a wildcat/short yardage guy similar to Hill at NO. Of course NFL only allows 2QBs to be active (3rd QB dressed can only play if first 2are hurt)

Key word, “could” have but it’s already too late.

Had he given himself the chance to try another position in the NFL instead of clinging onto the QB spot, things could have turned out differently.

Again, he’s one of the greatest college QB’s of all time but his stubbornness is what kept him from succeeding at the next level.

Eh, I disagree. You don't go to the NFL to learn a new position. Just doesn't ever work that way.

Before people get on the "NFL blackballed him" train. Know ye this. He arrived in the NFL unable to properly execute a snap from under center as a QB.
Meyer and Loeffler let Tebow stay undeveloped for the pro game because he had what it took for their offense at Florida. Their job was to win at FL.... and they did..... not prepare Tebow for the next level as a QB. Maybe they thought he'd be smart enough to change positions? I don't know but he got nothing from them to help him at the NFL level but he got a ring and Heisman, which is way better than most.

Either Tim Tebow didn't really want to play NFL football or he's "challenged" in critical decision making skills. LOTS of people told him he wouldn't be an NFL QB and he ignored good advice. 🤷‍♂️

Good luck supporting Miss Universe on the "motivational Christian speaker" circuit.

They likely knew he had maximized his potential as a qb. If they could’ve made him a better passer, they would have. It would’ve just made him that much more dangerous.

I don’t know, I don’t think Tebow was a great QB from a pure sense. He was fortunate to be able to play for the right coach at the right time and in the right system. In most other eras and teams I don’t know that he is as successful in college. That doesn’t diminish is accomplishments in any way, but it limited his NFL success to be sold as a QB.
