Tebow Released

Listen, im not a Tebow fan. I think he acted like an ass when he played at Fla but he deserved a chance. I think the NFL blackballed him for his religious displays which I think was wrong. Unlike Kaepernick, he wanted to play. A lot of people are happy and that sad for them.

I wish him success in his ministry but I wish SECN would take him off. He’s terrible.

There is not really a person better equipped to be a motivational speaker/media personality than Tebow. He will have his choice of careers and opportunities

What a load of bulls***.

The only thing that "blackballed" him was himself. He wasn't good enough to be a long term NFL starter. If he had listened and embraced being a "slash" type player and even switch to another position way back in 2012, he might have lasted longer. But he was too stubborn. Then he decides 10 years and a failed baseball career attempt later to try to be a TE at 33. He has only himself to blame.

And "deserved" a chance? Based on what? Your silly conspiracy theory? He got a shot because of Meyer, that's it. If Meyer wasn't their coach, this would have never happened.

Tebow will go down as one of the greatest College QB’s to ever play the game. It’s not like he didn’t accomplish anything in his football career.

He wasn’t an NFL level player and he probably realizes that now.

However, like one of the posters pointed out, his stubbornness also played a big part in it as well.

This. His lack of the same success in the NFL does nothing to diminish his college career.

He should have went into the NFL as a tight-end/H-back. He would have had a long career.

Anybody who saw those and I use this term loosely “attempts” to block knew this was coming.

I only heard one analyst try to spin it and he said “he understood the blocking issues but we never saw what he could do with the ball in his hands”. If you can’t block what you gonna do with the ball? Fumble?

Tebow should just take his analyst jobs and be happy. He had his run as an athlete and needs to move on. Get inducted into ring of honor in Gainesville ( @Lawrence Wright help me out here) if he’s not already and finally into the CFHOF.

One of the best to ever do it I just have a hard time believing he stayed true all those years at Fl.
