I don't think I will ever understand this move, or stop laughing about it, Jesus Christ, I thought the bears were the stupidest team in the league...

I don't think it could get more apparent that Tebow is done trying to be a starting QB.

He won't ever be good enough to do that, but I think he's well-rounded and athletic enough to get a roster spot on most NFL teams.

This. It's the media circus that follows that turns teams away

Very happy to see him catch on if for no other reason than to agitate the ESPN apparatchiks. Belichik should diffuse the media circus pretty well if his presser yesterday was any indication. And if Welker, Edelman, and Woodhead can become significant contributors Tebow should be able to in some capacity.

Bears --- the cheapest tightwad (that actually has tons of $$$) team in the league. See also the Chicago Cubs in MLB --- cheap cheap cheap

I think it's a luxury to be able to carry a 3rd string QB that can play special teams teams as well as possibly special packages. And I'm not joking. And I also think it's nuts how many people forget the one season and playoff win against the Steelers. He's a decent backup to have. The rub on him is the media circus and its obvious Bill doesn't care about that. Strictly a football move.

Edit: I'm not arguing he's a starting qb, it just seems like people get off on talking about how bad he is when Cassell and Sanchez and a bunch of D2 guys in Zona, etc.. were starting last year. There are much worse options out there.

Belichik doesn't play games. He must see something he thinks could help his team with Tim. Don't know the angle, but it will be interesting to see how they use him.

You realize Sanchez started OVER Tebow, right?
