I realize grading a draft class is a very subjective concept. But how in the heck is it that TN is #22 on scout and #10 on Rivals? USuCk is #7 on rivals and #18 on scout.

The top 5 are pretty much the same on both, but slightly different order. How could you be so far different in an opinion on draft classes? I don't recall ever seeing one service rank UT so differently than the other.

Anybody?

Please increase the minimum post count for starting threads.

But regarding your question, Scout is terrible and Rivals is slightly terrible. It's all subjective anyway.

I'm sorry, I don't spend all my time on here posting a smiley face as an answer to boost my post count...I haven't worked my way all the way up to 641 posts...what an accomplishment...your mamma must be proud...

Never underestimate the pride of Carlton's mother.

It is not the post count that bothers me. It is the fact that people post the same things another posted a day or two ago. It is like we have the same conversation over and over again or better yet, always having to educate the newbies.

OP - do not take offense, this was a general statement and not directed at you, sort of! :wavey:

you guys dont have to read these threads. no point in jumping all over people for that stuff.

ps-if you really want to deter people from making/remaking threads, it would be more logical to make thread creation a time based issue, not a post count issue. it's really easy to pad your thread count with a bump or a stupid little emoticon. everybody needs to chill.

First off, I didn't "jump all over" anyone. I said that the post amount should be increased to start threads. Using your logic, look at the people who are making dumb threads. Most of them came here in January 2010 (minus this guy--but it's close).

I actually answered the guy's stupid question (that has been answered millions of times) and he wants to take personal jabs at me, but I guess that's what you get.

whoa man, no need to get all defensive. the only point(s) i was trying to make is that it doesnt really serve a purpose to call people out for making new threads that tread on old news. you dont have to read it if you dont want to. about the post count, i was just pointing out that that would be a more logical way to keep the dumb threads fewer and farther between by using time over quantity. im not advocating anything, just pointing it out. i wasnt trying to attack anyone, just trying to help quell the anxiety on the board...

Disclaimer: This is not an attack or directed at the poster of this quote, but do not attempt this at home.
This is part of the reason for having a forum. I know it gets tiresome sometimes reading 4632 posts just to find out that Fred and George are from the same town, want to have a beer together, don't like our last coach, have no idea what TOS means, think that we should hire (insert stupid name that we don't want or don't have a chance to persuade) to be our DC, think the thread is a fail, think the post is a +1, or are just wondering what the difference in the recruiting sites are. but we all started somewhere and some don't have the knowledge that others who have read those same 4632 posts have acquired. I also know we are all stressed out beyond comprehension as NSD is only 124 hours away, but take a breath every now and then before posting.

+1, We must be from the same town! I really hope we don't offer the DC job to Gruden...

I'm really sorry, I couldn't stop my fingers from doing this....

It's like Dan Mullen's said last year. 'In the state of Mississippi, we have our(MSU) top 25 and Rivals and Scout have theirs.'

Its not an exact science. It's a guesstimate. But one factor that does play into it is that Scout gives out some 50 - 75 fewer 4 stars than Rivals does.
