What is your take on teams like the Braves and Seminoles using Indian tribe names. I remember when it was a big deal in the news and and a lot of Indians were upset. I dont see a problem but I am also not Indian.

Give it a little time. This pops back up every 3-4 years when no one else has anything else to complain about. I miss our old Braves mascot - Chief Knockahoma....instead we have some guy in a uniform with a baseball for a head called Homer.

Commodore is a very controversial nickname simply because it is a euphamism for Vagina....in my house anyway.

Treading carefully....my uncle refers to Roll Tide as 'that time of the month' process....

I saw a headline last year that read "Nutt sends in Dick against 'Cocks".

What about when they played USC. USC's QB was named Booty, and Arkansas has a LB named Johnson...

"Nutt sends Johnson after Booty on a blitz!"

Oh how I prayed we'd get Chris Smelly (sp?) so the Vols could have a "Smelly-Cooter" QB controversy...:ermm:
