Team 120 record going into Bye week

How will UT finish prior to the Bye week?

If we lose games it happens before the bye week. With that being said, I'm going 5-2. It's a brutal gauntlet and 2-2 in that stretch is a very realistic and achievable goal. 6-1 is definitely there as well. I think the Georgia game is huge. You win that one and build some much needed momentum and we can very well take a split in the next two games. This year, Florida should be beaten. They just should. Really no excuses there any more.

I'm honestly shocked at how many people think 6-1 though. To me, that means the majority of people here think we are a playoff contender. And that's just hard to believe. But I definitely hope I am proven wrong!

Also, lol at D4H and his 7-0.

Weren't you just saying in another thread you had no problem with Phil Steele saying we're a national title contender and only had a problem with me saying 15-0? Now the true feelings come out.

Most experts have us as a national title contender. Get used to it. That's what our talent dictates.

Get over yourself. In another thread, almost exactly like this one, people also predicted that 10-2 was most likely for us.

Just because I personally don't believe we make the playoffs doesn't mean other people can't think it's possible. Like Phil Steele and others. Doesn't mean, to me, it's any less hard to comprehend.

And yes, I still do stand by my statement that pretty much everything you have said is absolutely ridiculous. 3 teams in 10 years have made it to the NC game undefeated and you somehow think we will make it 4 out of 11.

I went with 6-1, with our loss being to Texas A&M simply because of where it falls on our schedule and during the gauntlet. Being said, I'm hoping we can finish out 11-1, though I think it's very possible we drop two during the first seven games and finish 10-2. The absolute floor of this regular season should be 9-3 in my opinion. Lower than that, and I start questioning coaching, and if we do go 9-3 I'd say we underachieved based on our talent and hype.

11-1 with our only loss to Tx am is a near perfect result. (assuming undefeated is near impossible) Undefeated in Neyland stadium, Beat all our major rivals (UF, UGA, BAMA) in the same year, end the streaks, win the major OOC game (Battle at Bristol), and our only loss is to a west team we hardly ever play, and who we don't usually recruit against head to head. I'll take it!

Not only will we win at least 10 games this season, we're gonna beat the ever loving ish out of a very average Hokies squad in Bristol....by at least 3 tds. Book it.

Good to see that nearly 70% believe we're going 11-1 or 12-0.

No more downplaying expectations. It's time to show up or shut up.
