He’s a beast I must admit. But I still rather roll with Joey who’s going into year 2 of our system. That’s just me tho. Not gonna like you ask me on a different day I prolly take Hoover.

I been looking at some of the college forums on reddit and geezus. Seems like a lot of people are entering. People who are already starters and would be starters next season
It's crazy

He also said not too long ago he didnt expect any changes with the staff. Things change quickly
Yeah, except he's not the only reliable one saying this. Supposedly there's a donor giving big money for us to add a legit QB. I appreciate what JA did, but there's an opportunity to upgrade that position.

I would love for JA to be here next year, but he basically has 2 weeks to be cleared. Odds arent great. I'd be super happy with either Hoover or Cincy's QB.

It seems like some of you would be happy if we just started transfer QBs forever.

At some point, the training wheels are going to have to come off GMac.

Or watch him light it up somewhere else

That time should have been this year instead of masquerading like Merk was ever gonna be a thing.

yeah, it’s absolutely crazy rn. Obviously, I hope we benefit from it-but like, Philo from Georgia Tech is a good example of how insane it’s getting, he was guaranteed to start in 2026 and he left anyway. That just sucks, even if im relieved GT may be bad next year since we play them.

Really am starting to understand why fans of small programs are starting not to care anymore, tbh. Why get so invested when your reward for a good season will be bigger programs raiding your talent?

JA won't be here.
I can promise you JA won't be. LWS has already said that he's either portal or NFL bound.
Why would he go into the portal and leave Tennessee? If he's out of eligibility, he will attempt to go pro and nothing else. If he has another year, he will not leave Tennessee.

Him leaving will NOT be his choice. Not sure how many more times this has to be said. He will either be eligible and portal or not eligible and try for the NFL. Being here will NOT be an option.

...this is a weird take, and definitely a weird place to plant your flag.

But the internet is a weird place. You do you, chief.

Eh, I dont know that'd you be upgrading it a ton with the ones that are currently in the portal. The question you have to answer is, is which outcome gives you the best chance to succeed and are they really all that far apart? (1) bring in a totally new guy to learn everything or (2) give JA a full off-season to improve upon what he did this year. I just dont know that its gonna be that big of a difference, unless it ends up being a huge name that Is not in the portal currently. The biggest issue as we all know, is improving the defense. You do that, and you have a chance to be much better than you were this year, except that the scheudle gets tougher.

Not sure why you think this is true, at all.

Aguilar was one of the best QBs in the SEC this season. Knowing that QB's in the 2nd year under Heupel make a huge jump, it's ridiculous to think he won't be here if he's cleared in the next 2 weeks.
