If a coach took the lord's name in vain, let's go ahead and keep that between the coach and the lord, mmmk?

Was reading the Bible the other day and noticed the words "hell", "damn", and "ass". Mark Richt should probably be run out of Georgia for advocating the study of that book.

So, did MHF get yet another thread deleted because of his crusade? What is that, four today?

The loss of those threads is nothing compared to the devastation the radioactive fallout from the F-bombs will cause.

True. Don't know if my ears will ever be the same. I just might go to hell just for hearing the word.

I was just starting to enjoy the way the other thread was starting to trend. It was new and refreshing.

So did MHF get suspended or something? I haven't seen him post anything since the most recent thread got deleted.

I don't know, I was almost enjoying his ridiculous attempts to defend his view and his holier than thou crusade. It was just too easy.

In before the deletion.

Aside from the issue of coaches and foul language, I think it is somewhat sad that we have turned into a culture that enjoys bashing people with alternative viewpoints over the head out of spite or disagreement. I'm lumping MHF into this point too. He doesn't think a coach should use constant foul language? Good for him, and I happen to agree with some of his points. I know many of you don't. Good. Opinions are the spice of life. State it, move on, and put away the AK47s.

What is relevant is the fact that we are going to be seeing a whole lot more of the Mangino / Pelini type backlashes in the not too distant future. The kids I work with have no issues cursing up a storm and making intentional messes because the cafeteria ran out of Ranch dressing on pizza day, but so help you if a coach so much as looks at them funny or sits them for missing too many open shots in basketball then Mom and Dad are in the principal's office. Hell, I know of parents who have lawyered up because little John Q Pansy got his feelings hurt when coach yanked him for crying on field in Grasscutter league.

The wimpification of American youth is in full swing, and until parents stop saving their kids' asses and start teaching them to suck it up and deal with life expect to see more coaches in the spotlight for having the gall to be upset with and confront players over poor decisions, bad play, and who knows what else.
