Being a Duke fan I can say that Taylor was one of my favorite Dukies. Probably a good move though the kid just isn't that good. Wherever he goes I'll cheer for him to succeed
Any chance he looks at Vanderbilt?
No way in hell. From what I understand from my Dukies is that he was having a hard time at Duke (in the classroom), and was doing things off the court that the players and K did not appreciate. Not bad things, just things like smoking, and so on..
But he is homesick from what I hear, so Gonzaga will most likely be his choice.
Sounds like he would fit in nicely in the Pacific Northwest. He's a good shooter and would fit into the Zags offense, good luck to him.
I fully agree Price. Although I would like him to stay, I understand why he is choosing to leave. K is going hard after other guards and wings, and even if K were to get just some of the ones he wants, I don't see much playing time for Taylor.
But at Gonzaga? He would be a beast IMO. Is their next Morrison. Atlest I think so.
Thats what people were saying when Micah Downs transfered from Kansas, but in reality both King and Downs are strictly spot up shooters at this level. Morrison had a lot of deceptive quickness and had the ability to shoot over people off the dribble. Neither Downs nor King have shown that ability. I think King will play more and be more effective if he heads to Spokane but its unlikely he'll ever average more than 15ppg in his time there.
I believe the ACC qualified easily for that description this season.I disagree. Only because Taylor was showing improvements all year on his driving ability. He was really starting to make his own shot. K just did not give him enough playing time to always show it. It was more of a, "Go hit a 3 or come sit by me", type of thing.
I think under a new light with less than stellar competition he will do great things. Atleast I hope so.
