What if the student section led a chant similar to what the Pred's do to the opposing goalie, but it's done when the other QB misses a third down pass or turns the ball over? For example, following the preds word for word would be, "Feleipe, Feleipe, you suck, it's all your fault, it's all your fault."

Would this be effective, or it would be deemed unclassy by fulmer/pruitt?

Meh, I don't see the point. If the defense does their job and has the opposing team's qb running for his life frequently and picking turf out of his facemask on occasion, he'll be plenty rattled. If that happens enough, there will be plenty of noise for the other team to fret over.

It sounds like a good way to make Neyland an even more difficult place to play! That coupled with a pump up style chant kind of like "3rd down for what" for our defense on third downs sounds like a good time as a fan and all in good fun during a rivalry game.

Classless IMO.. We are all different but I wouldnt feel good about myself for yelling that an 18-21yo sucks just because they play on a different team than I love.. Regardless of how bad he plays.. Maybe I am getting soft :)

I don't care about being perceived as classy. This is war do anything you can to make Florida's night worse. Leave the women and kids alone otherwise hold nothing back

JMO but "3rd down for what" needs to be burned and eradicated from the psyche and vernacular of all Vol fans and players as soon as possible.

I'll get hate for this but I miss the 3rd down for what.

At least it got the crowd involved and pumped up our defense.

Something is better than nothing.

Why would we do that? Because CBJ is gone and his tenure was a failure? It seemed like every time that played the fans got wound up and got in the head of the offenses that we played. I don't have any stats to back it up, but I wanna say that while we were playing that on 3rd downs, our defense did pretty well. Mindset is a big part of winning. I mean I imagine that if anything it would be most appropriate to use something different since we are trying to move on to bigger and better things. But something to spark the crowd and the team would be a good thing IMO.
