My daughter is a college soccer player. She was doing very very well and having a great time. Early in last season a 'nagging' back injury was taking her on and off the field and she was missing practices until it sidelined her for the season. The diagnosis was a bulging disk. The situation digressed until she had to have surgery . She has lost some motor control in her right foot . She has been given a medical redshirt and is diligently trying to rehab and hopes to resume playing in the fall of 2019 ...if her motor control comes back online. My wife and I both advised her to retire ….but she would not think of doing that.

The moral of this story is that back injuries are no joke and that these are real kids with real pain and real people that love them . My thoughts and prayers are with this young man .

I hope so, but I haven’t heard of Blakely and Bumpus getting much PT, and figured it was due to blocking.
Both Pope and Wolf are in the 240lb range as well, which ain’t small. Wolf got props from JP for working on a improving his blocking this spring as well. Jmo, but I really think having 5 other options who are 240-265, who play the position, are much better options than an undersized 270lb freshman who was headed straight for redshirt anyway. Again, jmho.

I seemed to miss this 'eff Tennessee' controversy, anyone care to fill me in or point me to where I can read about it?
