Are over. Steve Duemig on 620 WDAE Tampa stated today that Crompton will not start against Georgia and that he is done at Tennessee. I have been scouring the web and have heard nothing of this. What say you my Tennessee brothers with first hand knowledge? Who the heck would CLK use instead? NS...BS
Help me. Kick off is in 12 hours.:pinch:

Never heard "it couldn't be any worse" spoken louder than it will be before the game. And just after, it will not be said again.

A guy once told me "cheer up, things could be worse". So I cheered up and sure enough things got worse.

How would Steve know who is starting at qb for Tennessee?
This dude is former ESPN radio and claims to have connections all over. He has called some pretty strange stuff in the past that came to fruition, so I naturally am curious. Has anyone in VN heard anything to this effect?

From the reactions of others posting here, obviously not.

Seriously, don't you think that some kind of Knoxville radio or t.v. station would have broke this news first instead of something out of Tampa? Look if Crompton doesn't start tomorrow and is done, I will eat my words along with some crow on the side

I would like to see someone different. Seeing that every time Crompton drops back to pass...there is a very good chance that it will be intercepted. He is a sr and will not get any better.
He is painful to watch!

Well, that explains it. ESPN people hate Tennessee and are just trying to cause dissension in the ranks. :furious3:

I understand your point, but leads and connections are paramount. For example, a former Knoxville sportscaster Chip Carter, who is now in the Tampa market, called Kiffin coach way before I saw it here or any other K-town connection website. He had connections at UT that fed him updates daily. So all I am saying is "could it happen"?

Well, look at that.

Its not every day that you hear a man who is able to talk through his buttocks.

Tampa sportstalk radio must have an eye for talent.

I can't recall the local knoxville media breaking a story pertaining to the UT football team before I read it here on Volnation since....ever.

I doubt Crompton is benched. But I would not be surprised if the offense runs the wildcat a lot more than they do the pro style. At least I hope so.

Unfortunately for me, I have very limited sources in Florida to give me accurate TN info. That is why I rely on you guys to filter out the BS and FL spin for me. However, this Duemig character has been very accurate in the past.:dunno:
