Tamaurice Nigel Martin

That's not the reason. His wife didn't want to move to Tennessee. She is aspiring to be a singer.

Pretty sure she won that argument because he was getting interviewed for WR coach as a publicity stunt by Butch.

Offering him OC or Head Coach (down the road) would prolly result in him winning that argument. Especially since she's had a few years there to hit it big and hasn't.

I’m pretty sure he’s given statements .... through multiple outlets... that would confirm he is indeed anything BUT a Tennessee man

prove it! Show me the Statements!!!

when approached by Butch...he would have had to take about a $200k paycut.....Would you do that?

USC is a private college, not encumbered by some of the payroll constraints of public state supported institutions.

Sorry, but if the general public needs a quick lesson on how to pronounce his name he shouldn't be a TN head coach.

Tee has made several statements in the past about UT...First off he never wanted to come to UT, He grew up an Auburn fan and desperately wanted to go there but they never offered him a scholly....He also never understood why everyone here loves Peyton so much yet he brought us a NC and never got the love Peyton gets..He was offered the OC job by Butch and used us to get himself a nice big raise at USC...His wife hates living in Tennessee, Hell his Son hates UT as well he went to Clemson...So exactly why is everyone wanting him back so badly?...Better and more qualified candidates out there...Tee is happy now so let him be.

He was committed to Auburn before Tennessee. They most definitely offered him a scholarship, but he reneged to come to Tennessee after Rodney Garner was hired in Knoxville.
I agree he's not coming back.

TN fans love Tee. Why would he want to come here and coach when, unavoidably, half of you, or more, would hate him?

I'm thinking we're about to see a strong push to bring Tee Martin in.

I could be wrong, I've been wrong before but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night

Maybe as an OC if USC makes a change. There is zero chance in hell that he comes in as a head coach.

Yeah there are a lot more qualified co-ordinators out there to pick from if we want to go that direction. Hope we hire a new coach who has had head coaching experience, successful head coaching.

Urban is a graduate of Ohio State. Didn't play there but has the connection.

Saban played at weaka$$ Kent State.

Dabo played at Bama and is going to get a blank check and open arms from Bama when Saban retires.

Jimbo played at Salem.

So Tee has something over them that they don't have. Tee also was the natty winning qb here.

To say the Alma mater thing doesn't matter is a joke. And don't bring up the whole WR Coaching job fiasco. Butch only offered him as a publicity stunt. Tee telling Butch no is just another reason to trust Tee's judgement. Best career choice he has made.

Urban Meyer played and graduated from the University of Cincinnati.
